I can help you to define and refine your strategy.
I offer several services aimed at building and developing a strategic approach, depending on your needs. A collection of service descriptions and case studies are outlined below to give you a flavour of what to expect. Let’s speak to discuss a tailor-made offer that suits your situation.

Education
Education is the cornerstone of any meaningful sustainability strategy. Ensure that the understanding of responsible decision-making extends further than just the sustainability department.
I lecture at academic institutions on sport management programmes. I offer stand-alone and tailor-made workshops, training, and one-on-one coaching for organisations. I can also help you to develop manuals and guidelines for staff.
Let’s discuss the educational component that fits your unique situation.

Impact measurement
Need to understand the impact your activities have? Planning to collect data to monitor initiatives? Want to evaluate activities to ensure you’re on target to meet objectives? No more scrambling in the dark, build your programme on a solid scientific footing.
Become a learning organisation. Demonstrate accountability to internal and external stakeholders
Let’s work together to create your own metrics or identify suitable ones among relevant standards, and build a theory of change incorporating SMART objectives, activities, KPIs and targets.

Reporting
Under pressure to report but don’t like what you’ve seen? Put off by lengthy reports and can’t understand who reads them? Overwhelmed by the different standards and the information they contain?
Reporting demonstrates how you’ve been addressing your most impactful activities. Let’s work together to find the right balance between learning and accountability. Let’s make sure that you’re reporting to the right audiences, through the right channels, and with the right content.
Case studies

Football Association of Ireland
Materiality
An internal working group was in place. It comprised representatives from all relevant departments within the organisation, passionate about sustainability and with a good handle on the impacts the organisation had / could have. I was required to support with the analysis of the stakeholder survey, facilitate the materiality process, and – to cap this stage in the process – validate the management priorities.

International Biathlon Union
Indicator mapping
A comprehensive sustainability strategy had been build with realistic long-term targets set across key impact areas. I was tasked with the challenge to identify a suitable framework of indicators – taking in various relevant international standards, from sport and the business world in general – that could be used to measure and report on the progress of meeting those targets.

World Taekwondo
Kick-off workshop
WT has an impeccable reputation for the social responsibility work that it has performed in the past. The federation was looking to pull this together, fill in any gaps and address positive and negative impacts through a comprehensive strategy. Part of my role was to facilitate an internal workshop to provide the context of sustainability in sport, identify relevant impacts, and map key stakeholders.
Let’s build something great together.
